Its perfectly shaped cone encloses a 1,000-foot-deep crater, the product of repeated explosions in the 16th and 17th centuries. Luckily for alpinists, Pico de Orizaba has been quiet since 1687 and was made a national park in 1936. Experienced ice-climbers flock to Pico’s glaciated slopes in December and January, but even non-climbers can enjoy hiking or riding horses in the foothills; October to March is best. Fit — and altitude-acclimated — hikers can also get a taxi to the village of Villa Hidalgo and walk about 5 miles up to the mountain hut called “Piedra Grande” at about 14,000 feet, where climbers stage their summit assaults.Source:sfgate.com Cozumel Attractions: El CedralPosteado el August 15, 2007 - Categorizado en Cozumel, Mexico Tourism Cedral, an agricultural village near the island’s center, was the first Mayan site found by Spanish explorers in 1518, and its ruins are among the easiest to reach on the island. The Vatican is a sovereign State, in fact an absolutist monarchy, and should be treated as such. It is an unacceptable situation that one state not only denies its citizens fundamental civil, democratic and human rights, but also attempts to interfere in the internal politics of other sovereign states. The International Diversities Solidarity Day in Mexico City was commemorated with a solidarity vigil in the Glorieta de Insurgentes [Insurgentes Square], on Saturday August 4, in the heart of Zona Rosa, our pink neighbourhood with many different activities, artistic events and information stands by different groups and organisations.
